Contrary to stereotypes, seniors are surprisingly tech-savvy. Between seniors who have been using digital technology for decades and the extra push spurred by the pandemic, the 65+ group is now vested in digital tools to improve their health. Today, tech is part of life for most of our seniors, even if they consider themselves “not into tech.” Digital is now how they stay informed and connected with the outside world – family, friends and news, through social media, Zoom and apps. Most have smartphones, and some even use smartwatches (e.g., Apple Watch) to optimize their exercise and get immediate feedback on activity.
In this infographic, we highlight our research findings on how seniors view digital tools to improve their health and share methods to improve digital engagement and use to grow healthcare consumer satisfaction and organizational value.
