Deborah McMahon takes a thorough approach to defining business problems.
Deborah McMahon is an executive who has spent the last 20 years leading business teams to continuously improve the customer experience in both retail and wholesale environments. She is a change leader who brings a sharp eye to customer experience design and execution. Prior to joining Aveus, Deborah spent 10 years with Best Buy. During her time there she was responsible for sales and operations for a $2B business, led the transportation initiative for new business, and was the director of merchandising for all business units. Her focus on seamless channel integration, industry leading retail and service selling strategy, and development of go-to-market plans are just some of the contributions she made there. Most recently, she was VP of marketing and retail strategy for a start-up fine jewelry brand where she built the marketing, training, and operations functions to support over 2000 global retail partners.
Trained as a lean six sigma black belt, Deborah takes a thorough approach to defining the business problem that needs to be solved. ”Neglecting to gather critical stakeholder insights along with an end-to-end accounting of the current state of the operational landscape is where many change initiatives fall off track.”
In her early career, she worked as a field retail director in the beauty industry and also with the year 2000 version of Aveus – where she worked with companies like United Health Group, Meredith Publishing, and US Bank to design and develop their first on-line presence.
When not at work, you will find Deborah spending time with her family, walking around lake Harriet, or up at her cabin in northern Minnesota.
