A Principal role at Aveus.

Aveus is looking for seasoned professionals interested in joining a growing consulting firm. You will lead client relationships and help grow our business. A Principal leader is a key role in the organization, responsible for developing and managing client relationships, building Aveus’ reputation and thought leadership and creating the strategies and infrastructure to support our growth objectives. You will participate widely in the business, impacting our client offerings and our internal capabilities and plans. The role offers the opportunity to shape our expanding consulting practice, solve complex challenges for our clients and work in a rich, extraordinary environment.

Some specific examples of responsibilities include:

  • Lead client relationships including specific engagements working with a team of seasoned professionals. Work may be domestic or international; Principals typically work with two to four clients at a time
  • Define and lead Aveus initiatives that drive our growth, thought leadership or business development objectives
  • Develop solutions, thinking and recommendations that address complex client  and Aveus issues
  • Extend and develop Aveus IP and thinking, refining and applying these in client and business development scenarios
  • Develop and manage effective client relationship plans in conjunction with peer team members; extend existing work and anticipate important new work within existing clients
  • Leverage your network to develop potential new Aveus relationships extending our network and reputation
  • Develop presentation and documentation materials for client and Aveus projects
  • Develop client engagement plans and budgets, manage engagements to deliver on time and on budget
  • Drive the development of Aveus talent including recruitment and the creation of development programs
  • Architect engagement models and improve current Aveus engagement processes to create a standardized approach

Skills and background requirements:

  • MBA or Master’s degree
  • C suite or executive experience running a division or functional organization
  • 20 + years’ work experience in a marketing, strategy or functional leader role
  • Consulting or professional services experience, two to three years preferred
  • Strong critical thinking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent relationship development skills in both a client and business development environment
  • Demonstrated ability growing a business or practice area
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple, parallel projects to conclusion in a team
  • Open to travel on a consistent basis
